Founded by Alecky Blythe in 2003, Recorded Delivery is an acclaimed theatre company, famous for its use of the verbatim technique, which involves recording real life situations, before listening to them on headphones and acting them out on stage.
Alecky wanted to give her company a completely new website which would archive old shows and publicise upcoming play The Girlfriend Experience, at the Young Vic Theatre.
I themed the entire site around recording, incorporating the actual minidisc player Alecky uses to record her subjects into the design, also using the “Hamish” font. Galleries and slideshows appear throughout the site, which are used to add more detail to the plays and present press clippings.
